Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team under the Office of the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO). The Global Philanthropy Manager will manage FMC’s Philanthropy program with a focus on executing an annual giving strategy that delivers maximum impact across our global community. This person will partner with Sustainability leadership and key internal stakeholders to identify strategic alignment opportunities for FMC sustainability and philanthropy initiatives. They will build and manage partnerships with organizations within the non-profit and public sectors, ensuring philanthropic investments effectively address the needs of FMC communities around the world. The Global Philanthropy Manager will also be responsible for managing, strengthening and expanding program infrastructure globally, including the company’s matching gift platform and employee and community engagement opportunities. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, highly collaborative, creative and enjoy working in a results-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate philanthropic partnerships, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader social impact strategy and an integrated focus on diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Manage end-to-end process of philanthropic giving, handling day-to-day grant requests, engaging with current and potential partners, conducting program evaluations and compiling impact reports for executive leadership
  • Support communications related to the company’s social investments and partnerships
  • Serve as lead for key FMC service projects
  • Manage FMC’s Employee Match and Dollars for Doers programs, including oversight of the company’s matching gift platform
  • Develop and manage FMC’s annual strategic giving agenda and budget
  • Develop and execute employee volunteer programs that further enhance FMC’s philanthropic mission and focus; identify opportunities for employee engagement
  • Establish metrics to track, evaluate and report on the company’s philanthropy initiatives, ensuring they effectively support broader strategic imperatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years related experience
  • Experience with environmental sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion grantmaking a plus
  • High level stakeholder and/or portfolio management experience across non-profit and public sectors
  • Experience working in a large global, matrixed organization
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects efficiently and simultaneously
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a high bias for action
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortable with ambiguity
